About the Event

Get pumped for this season’s History Run Spooktacular! Our resident historian, Bo Shoemaker, will take you on a run and teach about the creepy, scary, and mysterious history of Rochester.

This is a 4 mile run through the city of Rochester where we will learn about some Halloween themed history of the city! Costumes are highly encouraged!

There will be four stops along the route, where Bo will share interesting facts about the mysterious history of the area. Participants should be able to keep a 12:00 min/mile pace and will be able to regroup at each history stop before continuing.

This run will be 4 miles long, beginning at Rochester Running Company in College Town. After the run, we will go to the Elmwood Inn for some refreshments and share some of our own ghost stories!

The run will cost $5 and will be returned as a $10 gift card to Rochester Running Company.

Bo Shoemaker has an M.A. in History, a law degree from Syracuse University, and currently works as an Appellate Court Attorney at the NYS Supreme Court. He's also a breakfast blogger (www.xonuts.com) and is a 8:30 min/mile pacer at our Saturday group runs!
